NVIDIA and PNY feature Diamond Visionics at GTC 2015

Vestal, NY – March 19th, 2015 – Diamond Visionics’ announces that Diamond Visionics in coordination with NVIDIA is now being demonstrated in the PNY booth at GTC.

PNY is featuring GenesisRTX running on the brand new Quadro M6000 on a 4K display, showing a detailed model of San Francisco and the SFO airport. The scene consist of over 87,000 geo-specific OpenFlight PLW Modelworks models, easily running over 4M (4,000,000) polygons with run-time full-scene shadows, reflections and true volumetric 3D clouds.

Tim Woodard of Diamond Visionics to speak at GTC Conference

Diamond Visionics’ announces that Tim Woodard has been chosen to speak at this year’s GPU Technology Conference (GTC) at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, in San Jose, California.  Mr. Woodard will be speaking at 3 PM, March 18th.

Tim Woodard has published and presented previously at GTC, I/ITSEC, IMAGE, ASQ, and ITEC conferences. Mr. Woodard’s speech, “GPU-Based Scene Generation for Flight Simulation” is about the work he has done with NVIDIA on leveraging modern GPU capabilities; it is now possible to greatly increase both performance and fidelity by orders of magnitude when compared to traditional scene-graph approaches.  Furthermore, both significant consolidation of hardware and distributed rendering are now possible, greatly simplifying large-scale simulator facility design and maintenance. This modern GPU-based approach is being utilized to provide high-quality training for today’s pilots.

Mr. Tim Woodard is the Chief Technology Officer at Diamond Visionics, with over 18 years of experience specializing in the design and development of software architectures for real-time PC-based image generation using Agile development processes, advanced C++, and modern OpenGL techniques. Mr. Woodard has received patents for the real-time simulator database generation technology which forms the basis of Diamond Visionics’ GenesisRTX worldwide database generation system. GenesisRTX provides high-fidelity generation, visualization, and manipulation of visual databases at run-time directly from source data on low-cost PC-based platforms, eliminating the need for traditional labor-intensive off-line database production processes.

Those seeking more information about the conference and Mr. Woodard’s speech should visit the GTC website, which also provides a registration form.  http://registration.gputechconf.com/quicklink/e3AbmO5
