Vestal, NY – February 19, 2016 – Diamond Visionics’ announces Merlin Fight Simulation Group has installed GenesisRTX for the Swansea University’s School of Engineering as a new upgrade for their MP521 engineering flight simulator. Swansea University is the first UK University to purchase the GenesisRTX Diamond Visionics graphics for use on their Simulator, which will greatly enhance their teaching and research capabilities.
Brian Overy, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Diamond Visionics said: “Diamond Visionics are fortunate to work alongside Merlin Flight Simulation Group on the visual system upgrade for their MP-521 Engineering Flight Simulator at Swansea University’s College of Engineering. Future generations of aerospace design engineers will be utilizing the Diamond Visionics GenesisRTX, which is the most advanced visualization technology available today, in the MP-251 Engineering Flight Simulator. We are privileged to be part of the present day technologies shaping the future of flight.”
Swansea University’s simulation laboratory is situated in their brand new Bay Campus, Dr. Nick Croft, Portfolio Director for Aerospace Engineering at Swansea commented: “The Merlin MP-251 Flight Simulator provides an accessible route for students to practice and understand aircraft design. The simulator supports lecture based learning by allowing the theory to be put in a form that students can see and feel. The GenesisRTX visual system has significantly improved the visual experience, making the simulated flight even more realistic. The system also provides a route that will allow increased environmental factors to be included within design exercises.”
